Scholarship Awards

Each year the New Mexico SWCS awards the John Werner Scholarship for the amount of $1,000.00 for the upcoming school term. The recipient of this scholarship will be a deserving student preparing for a career in natural resource conservation or a related field at an accredited college, university, or vocational school in New Mexico. The 2011-2012 award will go to a student at ???? University.

The recipient will be an undergraduate student in the 3rd or 4th year of their curriculum. The recipient will be selected out of three names submitted by a faculty contact. In addition to the monetary award, the scholarship recipients will also receive a one-year student membership to the SWCS.

2009-2010 - Jenny "Nessa" Griffin

Jenny "Nessa" Griffin was the 2010 John Werner Scholarship award winner. Jenny is pursuing a degree in Western New Mexico University.
